Solar Engineering for Kadapa's Mineral, Cement and Agricultural Industries

Kadapa, also known as Cuddapah, is an important commercial and industrial centre in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The wider YSR Kadapa region has a distinctive economic identity shaped by mineral resources, cement manufacturing, stone processing, agriculture and small-scale industries. Barytes, limestone, asbestos and construction-related minerals are among the region's recognised mineral resources. Mangampet is particularly associated with barytes deposits, while Yerraguntla and surrounding industrial locations have limestone and cement-related activity. Kadapa stone, commonly known as black limestone or NAPA stone, is widely used in flooring, construction and architectural applications. These activities support stone-processing workshops, cutting units, polishing facilities, mineral handling businesses and industrial warehouses. Agriculture also contributes to the regional economy through groundnut, paddy, cotton, Bengal gram, sunflower and horticultural crops such as mango, banana, papaya and citrus. These agricultural activities create demand for processing facilities, storage buildings, warehouses and commercial infrastructure. Kopparthy Industrial Area adds another dimension to the region's industrial development and manufacturing potential. This combination creates opportunities for solar engineering across cement plants, mineral-processing facilities, stone industries, agro-processing units, warehouses and commercial rooftops. Solyug Energy supports suitable projects through remote engineering consultancy coordinated from Surat, Gujarat.

What we do and do not do

WHAT WE DO (PURE ENGINEERING)

Solyug Energy provides technical engineering and design documentation for proposed rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations. Our consultancy includes 3D solar layouts, solar module placement and space planning, PVsyst-based energy generation simulation, structural wind analysis using STAAD.Pro, electrical drawings supporting the applicable CEI approval process and Detailed Project Reports. For cement and mineral-processing facilities, design planning can consider factory dimensions, machinery locations, rooftop structures, ventilation equipment and maintenance access. Stone-processing businesses may require layout planning around cutting machinery, polishing sections, material storage and electrical infrastructure. For agricultural and food-processing properties, we assess supplied building information, available installation areas and operating requirements. Industrial projects can be supported with agreed structural and electrical engineering deliverables. All documentation is developed using the technical information supplied by the client and the confirmed consultancy scope. Equipment procurement, solar installation, commissioning and physical project execution remain the responsibility of the client's appointed contractors.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

Solyug Energy is an independent solar engineering and design consultancy. We are not a cement manufacturer, mining company, stone supplier, agricultural trading business, solar equipment dealership or EPC contractor. We do not supply solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures or electrical equipment. We also do not undertake solar installation, commissioning, maintenance or turnkey project execution. Our responsibility is limited to the agreed technical design, structural analysis, electrical drawings and consultancy documentation. Clients must appoint their own equipment suppliers and installation contractors. Our team coordinates projects remotely from Surat, Gujarat. Any physical site visit in Kadapa or other locations within the applicable district must be separately discussed and confirmed.

Solar Design Consultancy Fees in Kadapa

The cost of solar engineering consultancy depends on proposed solar capacity, property type, structural complexity, number of buildings, availability of technical drawings and the required deliverables. A cement manufacturing facility requiring a 3D rooftop layout may have a different engineering scope from a mineral-processing unit requiring PVsyst simulation, structural wind analysis and electrical drawings. Stone-cutting businesses, agricultural processing units and industrial warehouses may also require different levels of technical coordination. Solyug Energy reviews the available project information and prepares a quotation according to the agreed design scope. Our consultancy fees cover only the confirmed engineering, analysis and documentation work. Solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, electrical equipment, statutory fees, installation, commissioning and EPC execution are excluded.

Project Scale

kW commercial rooftop vs. multi-MW ground-mount configurations.

Deliverable Scope

Standalone PVsyst simulation vs. turnkey CEI statutory drawing sets.

Engineering Turnaround

Standard 24–48h delivery vs. phased multi-week engineering DPR milestones.

REGULATORY & TECHNICAL CONTEXT

Important Solar Design Considerations for Kadapa's Mineral, Cement and Agricultural Industries

Kadapa experiences hot summer conditions, with temperatures that can reach approximately 40–45°C during April and May according to the district profile. Such conditions make project-specific temperature assumptions, equipment specifications and system-loss calculations important during solar planning. Cement and mineral-processing facilities may contain heavy machinery, material-handling systems, dust-generating operations, ventilation equipment and large industrial sheds. Their rooftops should be evaluated using available structural drawings, roof condition information, proposed mounting details and maintenance-access requirements. Stone-cutting and polishing units may have production machinery, material storage areas and electrical loads that influence rooftop planning and access arrangements. Agricultural processing facilities may include grain storage, milling equipment, sorting sections, packaging areas and seasonal operating requirements. These operational factors should be considered when developing a solar layout. For ground-mounted installations, land dimensions, soil information, drainage, access routes and topography should be reviewed. PVsyst generation simulations should use accurate project coordinates, system orientation, shading information, equipment specifications, temperature assumptions and agreed loss parameters. Structural wind analysis must use project-specific building information, applicable design codes and relevant site parameters. Final engineering recommendations depend on verified site data and the confirmed consultancy scope.
